I must admit that I was a little bit hesitant about hiring a Home Stager at first. I thought they were for people with no design sense. With 20 years of experience as a general contractor, and working with designers and architects on a daily basis, I thought I could handle it on my own. I tried borrowing furniture from neighbours and friends, and trying to adapt it to my space, and it showed. Like other trades I've hired, I realized that to get something done right, you bring in a specialist.
I was flipping my first house that I had been renovating for 7 months. Monica, from Staged to Sell Solutions Inc. took a look at the house, and right away knew where to source the furniture that would be perfect for the space. I didn't waste valuable time price shopping as she had a good financial relationship with one of the top furniture rental companies in the city. She is tech savvy, emailing me photos of options to choose from. One thing that impressed me is that she was very efficient. Her in stock paintings she hung on the walls that would have taken me weeks to find were laid out like a magazine.
The staging took place at the end of the project, when money was extremely tight. She even suggested bringing in some furniture pieces from family and friends, so I could save some money.
In the end, my house sold in 7 days for $40k over asking. I attribute all of that to staging.
Monica is passionate about her work. Her experience was refreshing at an otherwise stressful time.
I have since made a business out of fixing and reselling tired houses, and will continue to use Staged to Sell Solutions Inc. on all my properties.

If there is anyone out there who feels that staging a property is a waste of time and money, we are here to beg the difference.
Monica from Staged 2 Sell Solutions came to assess our house, created an action plan for us to follow and motivated us to complete the work. She recommended trades, brought in cleaners, and she was available when we needed her.
After we finished the work, she brought her team and in half day they completely decorated our house, using most of our furniture and accessories. What a transformation!
Not only we were impressed by the new decor, but our buyers were too. And this is how we received 11 offers over asking and ended up selling our property in a bidding war,
$121,000 over asking in just 7 days!!
Monica is a true professional: experienced, courteous, talented and easy to work with. We will recommend her and her company to everyone we know.

Our Real Estate Agent set up a free consultation for Home Staging. He let us know that Monica from Staged 2 Sell Solutions would come in, do an assessment, give us her recommendations, and then we could decide from there if we wanted to actually have our house staged. We agreed to the consultation, but quite honestly thought we had no need to have our small home staged. We felt that there wasn’t really too much that she could add in our house.
Meeting Monica was great. She was incredibly friendly and easy to get along with. She conducted her assessment of our house with no interruption to us and presented her conclusions tactfully and honestly. She pointed out things that had never really occurred to us, but certainly made sense from a potential buyer’s perspective.
We decided that we would have our home staged and we couldn’t believe the difference! With just a few pieces, some repositioning and some artwork, our home instantly looked more attractive. I highly recommend Monica Stanciu from Staged 2 Sell Solutions Inc. I hired her to stage a vacant home that I had listed on July 1st, 2008. The home had been on the market with another agent for about 3 months prior to the time I listed it. I had it on the market for 3 weeks before I met Monica, and felt it was not selling because it was vacant and buyers needed the extra incentive that furnishing can give.
Monica staged it in one evening. To our surprise, the power had been cut off, which made the staging even harder, but when she had no power to inflate the bed she didn’t call me to complain. Instead she took the initiative to run an electrical line to the neighbor’s house and he allowed her to use the power. When I inspected the home the following day, I was amazed at the difference her staging made. I received and offer on that home one week later and the sale went through.
I was so pleased with Monica’s service that I called her again recently, to stage an outdoor stage for a Cornell Crier contest I was holding. She did a great job and even volunteered her services in other areas of the contest.
I would say that Monica is not only a good home stager, but she is a go-getter and a self starter – reliable and hard worker. She puts her heart into what she does. Those traits are hard to find.

Our house was lingering on the market for almost 3 months; a bit disappointing for us as it was in a prime location and it was priced a little below the other houses that were selling on the street. This is when a friend introduced us to Monica @ Staged 2 Sell Solutions Inc.
